Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-04-19
1. About SARTastic
SARTastic is operated by Destiny Wills and Legal Services Ltd. It is a free-to-use online tool that helps individuals draft Subject Access Requests (SARs) and related correspondence under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
By using SARTastic you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be aged 18 or over and a UK resident (or otherwise reasonably connected to the UK) to use SARTastic. You must use the service only for your own personal data rights — do not generate SARs on someone else's behalf without their authority.
3. Not legal advice
SARTastic does not provide legal or financial advice. We provide template letters, contact information, deadline tracking and related tools. The letters generated are based on standard UK GDPR and regulator-published wording — they are not bespoke legal documents.
If your matter is complex or high-value, you should consult a qualified solicitor or consult the Financial Ombudsman Service / ICO directly. Free guidance is available from MoneyHelper, Citizens Advice, the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman.
4. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into your profile. We use those details to populate the SAR letters — incorrect details may cause the recipient to be unable to find your records.
Keep your password confidential. You can delete your account at any time via your profile, or by emailing us.
5. Your responsibilities when sending letters
- Review every letter before sending it. Make sure the lender, the wording, and your details are correct.
- You send the letter, not us. Free-tier users send via their own email or by post — SARTastic provides one-click compose links but does not transmit on your behalf.
- You commit to the truthfulness of any factual statements you make in the letter (e.g. that you had a finance agreement with the recipient).
- Treat lenders' responses respectfully and lawfully. Do not use SARTastic to harass any organisation.
6. Lender directory accuracy
We do our best to keep our lender contact data current, sourcing from the ICO register, Companies House, lenders' published privacy notices and lenders' dedicated FCA-redress complaint inboxes. We re-verify quarterly. However, lenders move addresses and change processes — so we cannot guarantee any specific contact detail is current at the moment you send. If a letter bounces, please let us know.
7. Service availability
SARTastic is provided "as is". We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, SARTastic is not liable for: lost compensation a lender may or may not pay you; missed deadlines caused by email delivery failures outside our control; lender responses you disagree with; or any consequential, indirect or special damages.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Pricing and refunds
The Free tier is, and will remain, free. The Pro tier (when launched) is a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time. Refunds are at our discretion within 14 days of payment, in line with consumer rights.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use SARTastic to:
- Generate SARs in someone else's name without their authority
- Submit knowingly false information
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure
- Scrape, copy or republish our lender directory or content for commercial purposes
- Interfere with another user's use of the service
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date tells you when. Material changes will be highlighted in-app and (where you have a verified email) notified by email. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.
